Our Team
SETAS Ceremony
We follow a shamanistic philosophy for our ceremonies and services. This approach seeks to keep open the lines of communication with the universal spirit and encourages whole self engagement and divine integration.

Fasting
We recommend no food or drink other than water and unsweetened herbal tea for at least 12 hours prior to ceremony whenever possible. This step serves to cleanse the body and prepare the spirit.
Attire
We recommend ceremony attendees wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Hydration
We recommend drinking at least 24-36 ounces of clean water prior to ceremony with a high quality electrolyte supplement. This step serves to hydrate the body and purify the system.
Focus
We recommend no caffeine consumption or engagement with electronic devices prior to and throughout the ceremony. This step helps minimize distractions, allowing us to engage more deeply.
Stretch
We recommend stretching the body prior to ceremony. This step awakens the cells, tissues, and mind for more holistic engagement.
Intention
We recommend each participant member state aloud their intention, or goal, for the upcoming ceremony. The intention may align directly with the ceremonial topic or may be a more personal desire to stay present and engaged in ceremony for optimal benefit.

Setas Seminary conducts both virtual and live ceremonies with the latter following an experiential flow as follows:

Welcome
Each member is welcomed individually to ceremony. Welcome blessings may include burning herbs or botanical oils to cleanse and focus.
Sacrament
Each participant member is welcome to engage with the Setas Seminary ceremonial sacrament intended to help open the mind and soul.
Intention
The intention for the ceremonial sermon is shared, supported with a mindfulness meditation, and grounding practice.
Unification
Musical instruments (rattles, tambourines, blocks, drums, etc) are offered for use by members with the encouragement to engage in the spiritually unifying musical accompaniment.
Sermon
The Setas Seminary reverend will deliver the ceremonial sermon aligned with the stated intention. Sermon lengths vary but typically conclude within 20 minutes. Questions and sharing are encouraged.
Gratitude
We conclude the ceremony by giving thanks to nature and spirit, reminding all to keep gratitude present
Communion
Organic refreshments are offered following ceremony. Participant members are encouraged to connect and share.

Ceremony and Events
Although each ceremony is unique, the typical duration is limited to one hour, but is dependent on the number of attending members. Setas Seminary follows the lunar calendar offering ceremony on the dates of the Full Moon and New Moon each month.
Celebratory ceremony is conducted on the dates of the Vernal and Autumnal Equinox as well as Summer and Winter Solstice each year.
